Our Will and LPA Draftsman is an Affiliate of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and has been awarded the STEP Advanced Certificate in Will Preparation.
This qualification is recognised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Institute of Legal Executives and is the highest and most significant will draftsman qualification for solicitors and will writers in England and Wales.
Steele Rose & Co were formed in 1997 by Maj Mark J Steele BA (Law) and Arnold Harrison ACIB (previously a Branch Manager and later a Senior Director with Lloyds TSB).
In September 1998 the company was registered as Steele Rose & Co Limited and Steele Rose & Co (Storage) Ltd was also formed.
Although the Parsonage in Salisbury, Wiltshire remains the Registered Head Office, in November 1998 the Steele Rose Legal Services Office moved from the Parsonage to Heckfield House, Salisbury and there it stayed until October 2001 when it moved to their present location at Dean's Farm, less than a mile from the Head Office where it has a large office and separate high security legal document storage facility.
Darren Steele ASWW joined the company in July 2001 and established the 'Essex Office' in August 2004 after passing his IPW entry examination and passing the SWW will writer training course. Darren also attended the IPW training course in September 2007 and the SWW training course in May 2010 structured to cover the introduction of Lasting Powers of Attorney and the implications of the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Darren is an Affiliate of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is our primary Legal Draftsman, Head of Legal Practice and has passed the STEP Advanced Certificate in Will Preparation Course (distinction) and is subject to the (STEP) Code of Professional Conduct.
Joanna Milner A.PLL a licenced paralegal, joined Steele Rose in 2002 as a Legal Administrator and Legal Draftsman and was awarded the Higher Certificate in Paralegal Studies in July 2008 and achieved a distinction in Wills and Succession.
Dean Steele (the fifth member of the Steele family to join the Steele Rose Group of Companies) then a student member of STEP joined us in September 2009 and is now a second year student on the ILEX Legal Executive Lawyers Diploma Course, an Affiliate Member of ILEX and subject to their Code of Conduct.
Both Dean and Darren attended the CLT Deputyship in the Court of Protection course in 2009.
David Yates our Legal Consultant in Weymouth last year won the Ashley Jackson Prize sponsored by the law firm Walker Morris and featured in the Law Section of the Times.
